  2. WOW, what a great BRITISH company, selling sublime products, the members of staff are above and beyond the nicest and most effecient you could ever wish to do business with, the MD'S of the company have produced a range of oils that ferrari would be proud of calling there own, this company is small enough to care, but big enough to be worldwide, dont just take my word for it, chech it out for yourself........

  3. Hi all,
Firstly I should introduce myself as one of three brothers who are the directors of Silverhook.

    So what's new!
The most obvious change is the upgraded web- site that includes this blog. We hope you like it and will use it as much as possible as all feedback, negative as well as positive is crucial for us. "Thanks Sid for the new site".

We have just had a new filling line made in the Far East to speed up production of our additives as at the moment the line is shared with the car care range and it's a hell of a job flushing through to change usage. I may have to fly out there to check that design modifications that have been made to our specifications.

We have just blended and filled our new Tar remover as the fouth item in our car care range. We hope you will try it.

Hand cleaner formulation is now, after a lot of testing finished and we have filled the "Super Red" in 15lt and 5lt and all new "Yellow mellow" in 10lt and 5lt. We hope to have the smaller sizes and pump action tubs up and running soon.

Dave on forktruck and Gerry in acounts are both off with the flu so I wish them both a speedy recovery.

I hope to give you regular updates so please check the site as often as possible.

    All the best,
    JOhn.

  10. Hi Silverhook,
I have just brought some Silverhook Superglue and my god is the product good value for money its so much cheaper then the leading brand.

At first I thought cheap is not always good but when I applied the product I found the to work perfectly if not better then the top brand.

So it really is true your really do just pay for the name.

Also why do more of the big brand names not have a customer comment area such as yours, are they scared of feedback.. I will be recommending your products to others.

    Thanks
    Julia (Sheffield)

  11. Dear Julia,
A lot of companies have a large advertising budget to keep customer awareness. This has to be paid for and this can be a cause for higher pricing. If brand awareness is increased then a premium can be charged for a product.
We at Silverhook are trying the "word of mouth" method of increasing trade and using methods such as this blog to do it. This allows us to keep margins to a minimum.
Yours, and other positive comments are so important so I thank you.
    Kind regards,
    John.

  13. Dear Silverhook..
I would just like to ad my comments regarding your service fluid spray. This product is really really good.

I thought that as it is alot cheaper then wd40 that it maybe would not perform as well, but this is not the case.

Have the the product all around house and garden and have had no problems. This product also works well on rusted tight parts.

Reading the post above I guess Julia is correct in saying that cheap is not good. But in Silverhooks case it is. Cheap is a horrible word that can degrade I will use the term VALUE.

Silverhook products are good value for money for both customers such as me and suppliers.
Keep up the good work and prices affordable for everyday people.

  14. Thank you Simon and Mashood for your kind comments.

    What's new at the plant!
The new open plan sales office will be completed and open by Monday which will make everything easier and marketing will be more coordinated in the future. Sharna and Richard who look after exports and National accounts will join Dave who looks after the independents. Also Dawn and Terressa, reception and sales ledger are moving in.

As a Director, part of my work is buying foreign currency. I was wondering if any bloggers would like my input on how I see the pound going in the near future? Just a thought!

    Regards to all,
    John.

  15. Hello there,

I recently had a nice experience form one of your products that I thought I may as well share online.

My wife recently managed to scratch our new 58 Bravo with her ring much to my annoyance. Therefore my first reaction was to go for the good old T-Cut which in the past has never let me down. But on this occasion my local shop didn’t have any in stock .

So anyway I thought id try the market stalls as they usually have car bodywork related products, this is when I came across a Product called Colour Restorer which read and sounded similar to T-Cut.

I took this product home and applied it to the small area that had been scratched. On application you could see the light scratch being removed. I was very relieved to see this as a spray job would have been very expensive. The only question I have is why have you not mentioned about scratch removal on the product?.. Or is this something I have discovered.

Hope this review is helpful, I will be keeping an eye out for more of your great products.

    Thanks,
    Jim Sutherland
